Statutes Amendment Bill (No 4) – Second reading – Part 6
Yesterday I gave 10 minutes on the Statutes Amendment Bill (No 4). An omnibus Bill making small, non-controversial changes across 33 Acts.
These Bills require unanimous support to be passed. It is enjoyable to be working on a Bill that we can all come together on.
By their very nature, these omnibus Bills are not the most exciting or interesting pieces of legislation. I snuck in a couple of Monty Python references into this speech, along with an illustration of how games could be played with people’s names under current provisions.
