Standards and Accreditation Bill - Third reading
Thursday, October 15, 2015
On Tuesday evening I spoke in support of the Standards and Accreditation Bill in its third reading. With a bit of luck that thirrd reading could be completed today.
This is a sensible bill which will see our standards development and maintenance better aligned with our economic plans and global positioning, while protecting the quality and independence of standards development and decision-making.
The opposition are scaremongering with claims of erosion of independence which are simply not borne out by the facts and the provisions of the bill.
I was happy to remind them of that.
